What’s Your Story?

Mine was probably typical. After four kids and 20 years of marriage, things had become routine. The pressures of work and providing for my family had distracted me from what was really important…my marriage (first) and my kids. Many put the kids first, and I believe that’s a mistake if you want your marriage to not only survive, but thrive.

Well, as many have experienced, my wife went from being the love of my life to being just another family member. Big mistake. I’m sure you can guess the rest. Here I am, now in my 60s and single, hoping to find the woman who will love me to the end.

What’s your story? Maybe it’s somewhat like mine, or maybe you lost the love of your life from cancer, a car accident or even suicide. Whatever the reason, here you are, like me, dating in your 50s, 60s, or 70s and beyond.

The Purpose of Autumn Dating…

I’m a bottom line guy so here it is:

  • To offer encouragement to men and women who need it
  • To share my experiences to help you avoid the pitfalls of dating
  • To provide a community where people can share their experiences

So that’s basically it. Overall I hope that sharing my adventures (haha) with you and hearing about your experiences, we can all achieve our relationship goals.

So read my articles, watch my videos, and let me hear from you. Oh, and be sure to subscribe so that you will get my blog sent to your inbox.

Thank you for being here, Iook forward to hearing from you.

Where you’ll find me most weekends…

I play for free. What they pay me for is the thousands of hours of practice, rehearsals, equipment, and hauling it in and out. A typical gig is in a dive bar with 3 hours of music (40 songs) over 4 hours, 2 hours of load in, and sound check, and 1 hour of break down and load out. Altogether, that’s 7 hours for the show for $100 per musician – that’s below minimum wage. But I’m not whining…I love to play and make people happy…I just wish they paid us more.
